Varian has studied, researched and taught many forms of energetic medicine for over 32 years. He received his training in Traditional Naturopathy from the International University's (headquartered in Cyr Sur Mer, France) Los Altos, California branch from 1978-80. His doctoral research focused on a powerful color therapy system called Spectro-Chrome. He received his Naturopathic Doctor degree in 1980. As a Naturopathic Practitioner, he began teaching Spectro-Chrome to the public in 1983 and over the next 20 years, taught hundreds of medical professionals and laypeople alike. He is a senior practitioner and one of only a handful senior instructors of the Spectro-Chrome System in the world. He has been a professional associate of Darius Dinshah(originator's son) for 30 years..
In 1994, he started his formal training in Asian medicine at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California. He became a certified massage therapist and incorporates both western and eastern styles (Tui Na -Chinese Medical Massage) of bodywork in his practice.
Varian studied Korean Hand Therapy (KHT) with Dr. Yoo (originator) in 1995 - 96, in Los Angeles and continued his training with Dr. Dan Lobash (current master instructor for the USA) over the next 5 years. Dr. Lobash is currently a distributor of Varian's Acu-Chrome equipment.
Varian next attended the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NIAOM) in Seattle for 2 years but, because the school closed, he had to finish his Masters in Acupuncture degree (M.Ac.) elsewhere. He chose to complete his degree at the Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MCAOM) Minnesota in 2004. He is a National Board Certified Diplomate of Acupuncture (NCCAOM) and is currently a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Montana.
For the last 20 years,Varian has been collecting research data in the field of Quantum Bio-Physics and light research from around the world. From this data and his work with Spectro-Chrome he developed, began teaching and practicing (in 2004) an evolving and clinically more efficient form of Spectro-Chrome he calls Acu-Chrome™.
Over the years, Varian has combined his naturopathic and acupuncture training to create a powerful deep reaching therapy he calls "KORe Therapy" (see separate link).
Varian just started up a new company in 2008 called 'VibraChroMatrix LLC'. Still in the R&D stages, a prototype called the 'Acu-Chrome Prolight' will, after clinical trials and production, become the company's first professional product available to the public.
